Key Responsibilities
Project Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for metal and glass projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
Scope Analysis: Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Material Sourcing: Identify and evaluate materials, obtain vendor quotes, and maintain organized documentation for project handoff.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project management, and sales teams to develop competitive bids.
Vendor Liaison: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing.
Budget Management: Analyze project budgets and ensure alignment with company goals.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project-related correspondence.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years estimating for miscellaneous metal and glass fabrication or related industries.
Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and estimating software.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of metal and glass fabrication processes and materials.
Analytical Skills: Ability to perform detailed cost analysis and interpret complex drawings.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, including negotiation.
Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in cost estimation and project evaluation.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
