Hi, my name is Gabe.
I run a small design-build practice focused on kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, and other “water rooms.” I also operate a short-term rental in my home, which I treat as a lived-in design project rather than a hotel. Alongside this, I work on occasional product, furniture, and spatial design projects.
I work quickly, keep many projects open at once, and tend to approach problems in a linear, practical way. I’m looking for a creative or lateral thinker to help as a sounding board and second set of eyes—someone comfortable with details, follow-through, and the occasional “where did that tool go?” moment.
The work varies and may include research, light admin, organizing notes and hardware, safety and measurement checks, and occasional hands-on help. No personal errands.
You should have experience with at least a couple of the following types of things: making, building, design, tools, materials, systems, or digital platforms—and genuine curiosity about learning more. You should be able to carry a box of books up a flight of stairs.
Hours: minimum 4 hrs/week (often more, always optional)
Pay: minimum wage, paid via Venmo
Location: Covert St. near the Halsey J (mostly on-site)
