The Hive ELC is a home-based child care center located in Greenpoint/Brooklyn. We focus on providing a loving and caring environment to nurture children curiosity for learning. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child’s needs. We are looking for a fun, warm and energetic assistant teacher for our center.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Interacting with the children to support play, exploration and learning.
- Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
- Developing lessons plans
- Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
- Meeting individual’s need of the children.
- Parent communication.
- Communication appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
- Building teamwork.
General Requirements:
- Must be able to left at least 30 pounds.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Childcare: 2+ year (Required)
