First opened in 1970, Tango is a high end women's boutique located in the heart of Brooklyn Heights. We take pride in our business being the only neighborhood one-stop boutique carrying clothing, footwear, accessories, handbags, lingerie, jewelry, and hosiery.
Our designers include: Frame, Vince, Judith & Charles, Theory, Clare V, Sablyn, La Prestic Ouiston, Donni, White + Warren, Majestic Filatures, AG, Citizens of Humanity, Agolde, James Perse, and many more.
We currently have a full-time position available for talented and creative retail stylists who are passionate about customer service, can effectively style clientele, and are able to engage existing customers while developing a viable client base.
Responsibilities
Client Service and Selling
- Greeting and engaging customers
- Identifying clients’ needs and helping them find clothing in our store
- Creating complete head to toe looks
- Offer clients styling tips
- Select and recommend shoes & accessories that complement client’s outfit
- Suggestive selling and upselling
- Provide a courteous and informed customer experience
- Maintaining an accurate and effective customer book
Visual Merchandising
- Monitor and maintain visual merchandising standards
- Ensure representation of all styles and sizes are on the floor
- Fold, straighten and ensure the proper placement of merchandise throughout the day
Other Duties
- Accurately and efficiently receive new merchandise
- Data entry for new merchandise into POS system accurately
Qualifications
- Having at least 5 years of SIMILAR retail SALES experience
- An awareness of the brands that are represented
- MUST be a team player AND flexible based on the needs of the business
- Hands on experience with QuickBooks POS
- Social media proficiency
