French Restaurant General Manager

BACCHUS RESTAURANT

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager / Sommelier to oversee the daily operations of our French restaurant. This position primarily focuses on front-of-the-house management, but also requires some involvement in back-of-the-house activities. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership skills, a passion for providing impeccable service, the ability to train and mentor staff, and a deep understanding of French cuisine and wines. In addition, this role will work closely with our event coordinator as our restaurant frequently hosts private events.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the dining room. Address guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
· Oversee Open table reservations and seating arrangements.
· Greet and interact with guests to ensure exceptional service and resolve any issues.
· Train front-of-house staff
· Possess a deep understanding of French cuisine and wines
· Work closely with the event coordinator to plan and execute private events
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a restaurant manager, preferably in French restaurant.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· In-depth knowledge of French cuisine and wines.
· Ability to train, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
· Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency in restaurant management software: Toast is a plus
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
· Sommelier certification or willingness to pursue one is a plus.
