We are seeking a dynamic and culturally grounded Sip & Paint Instructor who specializes in diverse art forms, with strong emphasis on African, Afro-diasporic, and culturally inspired artistic styles.
Position Overview
The Sip & Paint Instructor will lead engaging, high-energy painting experiences that reflect the richness, beauty, and storytelling traditions of African and global Black art. This role requires artistic talent, stage presence, and the ability to guide guests of all skill levels in a fun, elevated atmosphere.
You are not just teaching a class — you are curating an experience.
Artistic Focus
We are especially interested in instructors experienced in:
African portraiture and textured expressionism
Afrocentric symbolism and storytelling
Contemporary Black art aesthetics
Afro-futurism and modern diasporic themes
Cultural pattern work and bold color narratives
Celebratory depictions of Black identity, beauty, and heritage
Key Responsibilities
Conceptualize and design culturally inspired painting themes
Lead structured, step-by-step painting sessions (90 minutes typical)
Engage and energize guests in a lounge-style environment
Explain artistic techniques clearly for beginner-level painters
Incorporate brief cultural context or storytelling into artwork themes
Coordinate with DJ and management to align vibe and pacing
Prepare supply lists and ensure materials are organized
Maintain professional presence aligned with Native’s upscale brand
Qualifications
2+ years teaching art, leading workshops, or hosting paint events
Strong portfolio showcasing African, Afro-diasporic, or culturally inspired art
Confident public speaker with strong crowd engagement skills
Ability to lead 20–50 participants comfortably
Professional, reliable, and culturally aware
Comfortable working in lively lounge / brunch environments

Compensation
