Rulin is a new Modern Chinese Restaurant with a focus on elevating Chinese food. Executive Chef Lane is looking for someone who is as passionate about food and service as she is. The ideal candidate must have great customer service skills, flexibility and good at multi-tasking for this fast-paced and demanding role! Ultimately, you’ll contribute to an excellent experience for our guests and be part of a new and growing restaurant.
Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintains safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
Exhibits exceptional communications skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others. Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Note: this position’s compensation includes a blend of salary and tips.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food service industry
- Proficiency in POS systems, including Toast or Square
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely and follow food safety protocols
- Knowledge of fine dining service and upselling techniques
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
