Looking for someone who can stay organized, communicate clearly, and keep up in a busy shop environment.
We’re a neighborhood auto repair shop with a steady flow of customers and calls throughout the day. This is not a slow front desk job — you’ll need to stay on top of things and keep everything moving.
Our current receptionist has been with us for several years and is moving on to an internship in her field, which we’re really happy about. We’re now looking to bring someone in within the next few days to keep things running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Answering phones and scheduling appointments
• Checking customers in and out
• Communicating with customers about their vehicles
• Helping manage workflow between the front and the shop
• Basic computer work (estimates, invoices, notes)
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong communication skills — friendly, clear, and professional
• Genuinely nice and patient — we treat our customers like people, not transactions
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable handling a high volume of calls and customers
• Reliable and on time
• Must be comfortable speaking on the phone throughout the day
• Previous customer service experience required (auto experience is a plus, not required)
• Strong customer service skills are most important — we can teach the automotive side
What You’ll Get:
• $25/hr (40 hours/week)
• Monday–Friday (8am–5pm, 1-hour lunch) — no weekends
• Steady, consistent workflow
• Small team, hands-on shop — everyone works together to keep things moving
Not a Fit If:
• You prefer a slow or quiet work environment
• You get overwhelmed juggling multiple things at once
• You’re not comfortable talking to customers throughout the day
Bottom Line:
We’re a busy neighborhood shop that takes pride in running a respectful, well-organized environment. We take care of our customers and treat them like people, and we’re looking for someone who does the same while helping keep the day running smoothly.
To Apply:
When applying, please include your resume and a few sentences about why you feel like you’d be a good fit for our shop and how you like to work — we’d love to get to know you a bit.
