We are seeking a dedicated, Supervising Pharmacist (SP) to oversee daily operations and clinical compliance for our new independent retail pharmacy. This is a leadership position for a professional who balances high-level oversight with hands-on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with NYS Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and PBM regulations.
Inventory Management: Oversee procurement, stock levels, and controlled substance record-keeping.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure workflow efficiency.
Clinical Care: Provide accurate dispensing, drug utilization reviews, and patient counseling.
Requirements
Licensure: Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
Skills: Proficiency with Micro Merchant (PrimeRx) or similar pharmacy software; strong knowledge of PBM credentialing and audit protocols.
