Front Desk / Guest Experience — Boutique Hotel (Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn)

This is about presence, taste, and how a place feels when someone walks in.
We’re a boutique stay in Bed-Stuy built around culture — fashion, music, art, and the energy of Brooklyn right now. We’re looking for someone who moves naturally in that world. Someone who can read a room, set a tone, and make guests feel like they’ve discovered something special.
You’re not checking people in — you’re setting the vibe.
What You’ll Do:
Welcome guests with confidence, style, and zero script
Run check-ins, check-outs, and reservations smoothly
Keep communication tight (phone, text, in-person)
Give real recommendations — galleries, coffee, late-night spots, underground things
Handle guest issues calmly and independently
Work closely with housekeeping to keep rooms and details on point
Set and maintain the lobby atmosphere (music, lighting, coffee bar, flow)
Be aware of everything happening in the space — and adjust accordingly
Who You Are:
You have taste — in music, fashion, design, or culture
You’re naturally welcoming but not over the top
You notice details others miss
You stay composed under pressure
You’re independent, proactive, and sharp
You understand that hospitality is about feeling, not process
Bonus if you:
Have experience in boutique hotels, cafés, nightlife, or creative spaces
Know Bed-Stuy/Brooklyn beyond the obvious
Have a point of view — creatively or culturally
Schedule:
AM + PM shifts
Weekdays + weekends
Requirements:
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Valid Social Security number
