Third Time’s the Charm is a new bar and restaurant in Red Hook, N.Y. We specialize in sourdough pizza, classic cocktails, and crushable beers and wines. We are seeking a pizza cook to expand our business. As a pizza cook, you will report directly to the chef de cuisine and sous chef, and: Cook pizzas, along with other selected items, during service; Conduct inventory; Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness; and Complete other tasks as assigned by the CDC or sous chef. We are looking for candidates with at least 1 year’s experience cooking pizzas professionally in a restaurant or comparable setting. Candidates should demonstrate: An eye for detail; A get-the-job-done attitude; A calm and generous demeanor; The ability to work in a team, to deadline, and under pressure; and A knack for anticipating the needs of your manager and your team. Applicants must also be able to: Stand for long periods of time (e.g., 8 hour shifts); Occasionally lift objects 50 lbs and under; and Hold a valid Food Protection Certificate from the N.Y.C. Department of Health & Mental Hygiene. (Servsafe, or other non-Department of Health food safety courses, are insufficient.) You must be able to work nights and weekends.
