We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced with bookkeeping, accounting systems, payments, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
This is a 40-hour-per-week position.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Performing daily bookkeeping tasks
Entering financial data into accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, and other platforms
Maintaining accurate records of invoices, bills, payments, receipts, and financial documents
Processing payments to employees, vendors, contractors, and service providers on time
Tracking incoming payments from customers and clients
Following up on unpaid invoices and payment issues
Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, vendor accounts, and customer balances
Organizing accounting documents and supporting records
Assisting with payroll-related payment tracking
Preparing basic financial reports when needed
Communicating with vendors, employees, and management regarding payments and account balances
Ensuring all financial records are accurate, complete, and updated on time
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
Experience with QuickBooks is required
Experience with Xero is preferred
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation
Good understanding of financial documents, invoices, statements, and payment records
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Good communication and organizational skills
Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
