**Personal Trainer – Part-Time | Park Slope, Brooklyn**
**About Us**
We are a private, appointment-only personal training studio in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We work with a tight-knit client community in a focused, distraction-free environment — no sales floor, no crowded gym floor, just quality coaching.
**About the Role**
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Trainer who values connection and empathy as much as programming and performance. The ideal candidate takes pride in helping clients feel capable, supported, and confident as they work toward their goals.
**Please note: there are no sales involved. We provide all clients.**
**Availability — Please Read First**
We specifically need coverage on **Monday and Friday mornings, starting at 6am or 7am through 12pm or 1pm and Saturdays starting at 8 or 9am and ending at 1 or 2pm** This is a firm requirement. Additional hours are available beyond that, but the requested hours are non-negotiable at this time.
**Duties**
- Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate clients' current fitness levels
- Develop personalized workout plans tailored to individual needs, goals, and lived experience
- Instruct and demonstrate proper exercise techniques with an emphasis on safety and clarity
- Motivate and support clients throughout their fitness journey, adapting communication style as needed
- Monitor progress and make thoughtful adjustments based on performance, feedback, and recovery
- Provide practical guidance on nutrition and lifestyle habits to complement training
- Build long-term client relationships through consistency, trust, and accountability
- Work collaboratively within a small team environment
**Experience & Qualifications**
*Required:*
- Personal Training certification
- CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics
- Hands-on experience in one-on-one or small-group training (minimum 2 years)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
- Must have a realistic commute to Park Slope, Brooklyn (11215)
*Nice to Have:*
- Background in a boutique studio, health club, or gym environment
- Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field

**Compensation & Details**
- **Pay:** $35–$50/hr, based on experience, certifications, and demonstrated ability to build and retain client relationships
- **Hours:** 10–20 per week (part-time)
- **Shift:** Day shift, in person
