BROOKLYN CRAB LEAD LINE COOK!!!

Brooklyn Crab is looking for a Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team at one of New York City’s most unique waterfront outdoor restaurants.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Lead Line Cook helps lead daily kitchen operations by supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef while working directly on the line. This position plays a key role in maintaining food quality, mentoring cooks, and ensuring smooth, organized service during busy shifts.
You will lead by example, working stations, expediting service, and helping build a positive kitchen culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a strong team player and help maintain a positive kitchen culture
- Lead food production across stations during service
- Support and mentor line cooks to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Assist with expediting and maintaining proper flow of service
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and execution meet Brooklyn Crab standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations at all times
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Help train new team members and support ongoing development
- Uphold NYC Health Department cleanliness and safety standards
- Step into leadership responsibilities when chefs are off the line

- 2–4+ years line cook experience in a high volume restaurant

COMPENSATION & PERKS:
