A progressive preschool in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn serving children ages 3–5 is seeking a dedicated, imaginative, and energetic preschool teacher who will thrive as part of a creative team in a diverse, respectful, and innovative classroom environment. We focus on following our students’ interests while valuing imagination and play, with art, creativity, and make-believe forming the core of our curriculum.
The ideal candidate is dedicated and inventive, enthusiastic about early childhood education, and passionate about working and playing with children. We are looking for a preschool teacher with an art background who is crafty, resourceful, and able to inspire young learners through fun and original projects that explore a sophisticated range of media, materials, and techniques.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has an art background and either holds or is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia and Waldorf approaches to learning is preferred.
The position may be full-time or part-time, beginning in September, with the option to work during the month of July as well.
