We are an independent retail pharmacy in New York seeking a licensed Supervising Pharmacist (SP) to join our team.
The Supervising Pharmacist will provide professional oversight of pharmacy operations, supervise pharmacy staff, ensure safe and accurate prescription dispensing, and help maintain compliance with applicable New York State and federal pharmacy requirements.
We are looking for a dependable, professional pharmacist who can provide strong leadership while delivering excellent patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
>Serve as the Supervising Pharmacist (SP) for the pharmacy.
>Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow.
>Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
>Dispense medications safely and accurately.
>Counsel patients regarding medications and proper use.
>Supervise and support pharmacy staff.
>Ensure pharmacy policies and procedures are followed.
>Maintain appropriate pharmacy records and documentation.
>Help ensure compliance with applicable New York State and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
>Oversee medication inventory, ordering, storage, and handling.
>Maintain proper procedures for controlled substances and other regulated medications.
>Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff.
>Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
Address operational issues and improve pharmacy workflow when needed.
