DISHWASHER – RED HOOK BARREL YARD
Red Hook Barrel Yard is looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at our large hospitality venue in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
We’re looking for someone who works with urgency, keeps a clean and organized station, and understands the importance of supporting the entire kitchen and restaurant team.
Responsibilities:
Wash and properly sanitize dishes, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment
Keep the dish area clean, organized, and moving efficiently throughout service
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, work areas, and back-of-house spaces
Remove trash and recycling as needed
Assist with general kitchen cleaning and closing duties
Help the kitchen team with basic tasks when needed
Follow all DOH sanitation and food-safety standards
What We’re Looking For:
Dependable and punctual
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
Able to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
Comfortable with a physically demanding position, including standing for long periods and lifting 50 lbs.
Available for nights, weekends, and holidays
Previous restaurant experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
