Crossroads Cafe in Bushwick is hiring experienced Line Cooks for full- and part-time positions.
We’re a community-focused cafe with an Italian American/Mediterranean-inspired menu, including smoothies, sandwiches, salads, shared plates, small plates, brunch, and house-made focaccia.
We’re expanding our hours and building out our kitchen team. We are especially seeking reliable cooks for:
• Nighttime service
• Breakfast and lunch shifts
• Weekend availability is essential
Pastry or baking experience is a major plus. We make our focaccia in-house and are excited to expand the bakery side of the cafe.
Required
• NYC Food Protection Certificate / food-safety license
• Previous line-cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen
• Weekend availability
• Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and collaboratively in a small electric kitchen
• Strong prep, organization, and communication skills
• Comfort executing brunch, sandwiches, salads, small plates, and service prep
A plus
• Pastry, bread, focaccia, or other baking experience
• Experience with Italian American or Mediterranean food
• Brunch service experience
• Interest in helping develop Crossroads’ bakery offerings
