We’re looking for an experienced sushi chef to run our Sushi Station. You’ll handle the full process of prep, crafting, and plating, with most of our volume coming from catering sushi platters. We have a professional rice sheeter to speed up production and backup staff to help with prep when needed. Someone with a good attitude, a creative eye, and a solid work ethic who stays composed when the orders pile up. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and set up the station for daily production Make sushi rolls, (based on menu and personal creativity) Plate and assemble catering platters to a consistently high standard Use the rice sheeter and other equipment to keep production efficient Work with prep staff and delegate tasks as needed Keep the station clean, organized, and stocked Requirements Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish handling and rice preparation Ability to produce quality work quickly and stay calm under deadline pressure Reliable, with a strong work ethic Positive attitude and a team-first approach Creativity in platter design and presentation Preferred Spanish-speaking (a big plus) Experience with catering production or platter assembly
