Brooklyn Metal Works seeks part-time studio monitors to help in overseeing the daily activities of our dynamic co-working metalsmithing studio, educational lab, and project space.
Applicants must have prior metalsmithing and jewelry experience and possess a high degree of interest in/knowledge of the specialized tools of our field. Some monitor job specifications include opening and closing the studio, maintaining tools and equipment, cleaning work areas, taking payment for studio use, communicating with our members and students, interacting with visitors, and working with our studio technician on special projects.
This position requires work on some nights and weekends, with some ability for flexible scheduling. Work exchange for studio access. Monitors are required to pass the FDNY G-61 Certificate of Fitness.
